Contact with chemicals will cause the metal to erode and tarnish over time, and will actively degrade the quality of your jewellery. It's best to avoid excessive use of perfumes, creams and chemical skincare products whilst wearing your jewellery, and to allow products like these to fully dry before wearing your Hoemo World product. All Hoemo World jewellery is e-coated with a protective layer, meaning that it has a high resistance to chemicals, but naturally these can breakdown over time with persistent use of damaging chemicals in direct contact with the jewellery.

We recommend that jewellery is not worn in water for long periods of time, especially in the sea where there is high salt content, or in a pool where chlorine can be damaging. Natural chemicals like sweat with an imbalanced pH level can degrade the metal over time, so it is recommended to not wear jewellery when working out. Contact with chemicals like this is inevitable and the jewellery is protected, but it is important to limit prolonged or persistent chemical contact where possible to preserve your jewellery.
